There are so many brands that are moving towards being environmentally friendly. If you want to start treating your planet the same way you treat your body, then here are our 4 favorite beauty brands of 2021!
1. REN Clean Skincare
Favorite product: Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Toner(pictured above)
REN Clean Skincare is a skincare line that made a pledge to become Zero Waste by the end of 2021. That means, they’re only producing recycled, recyclable or reusable packaging to create a brand that is clean to our skin and planet. From 2018 to 2021 their brand has made leaps in the sense of sustainability starting with repackaging their best sellers. By doing so, they knew they could minimize as much plastic going into landfills as quickly as possible. Amazing what good one brand can do if they put their mind to it.
2. ILIA
Favorite product: Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 (pictured above)
ILIA is a makeup brand that redefines what it means to be eco-friendly. They’re working with Pact Collective to recycle the hard-to-recycle. What does this mean? They invite their U.S. customers to mail in up to 5 empty products per month (no matter the brand) and Pact Collective will break it down responsibly, so it doesn’t end up in a landfill. While they do everything they can to be safe for the planet and their products, this is just one little step that will do a lot of good.
3. Briogeo
Favorite product: Don’t despair, repair! Deep condition Mask (pictured above)
Briogeo is a hair care brand that, similarly to us, cares about the environment. They use sustainable product packaging as well as find ways to use PCR plastic. That means, their bottles are made up of at least 25% discarded plastic! We love a brand that strives to transform our hair and our planet.
4. Herbivore
Favorite product: Aquarius Pore Purifying BHA Cream (pictured above)
Herbivore is a natural, cruelty free skincare brand. We stand behind their brand as they “make products, ingredients, and packaging as gentle on the planet as they are on our bodies”. To top it all off, all of their formulas are created and tested on real people—never on animals. Great brand with an even better mission.
